what mpg should my c220 1995 give me

im getting 29-30 mpg :-(
it dont matter if i drive at 100 or round town steady
it feels very numb as well
im taking it in next wednesday for a timing check and injector check
**please note it is a w202 2.2 non turbo NOT the cdi**

That's not very impressive, my C200 petrol does 33mpg. Do you drive everywhere in 1st gear?

oh yes mate i always drive in first;-) place that is:mrgreen:
its crap i know 29-30 thats why its going in next wednesday to have the injectors and pump checked/sorted

stuck some of that FORTE diesel fuel additive in the tank wednesday when i filled up and have just checked the mpg its now 32.9 i know its only a jump of 2.9-3.9 but hey its a start

they put this stuff in the amg (petrol type of course) every service and apparently nearly all dealers recomend it
ive been told its not like redex nor does it work like redex so im baffled as to how it works
following the destructions from the merc dealer im to put it in at every service they would do it except i dont service my car at merc only the boss's amg
its £12.99 at my local parts shop so its not too bad every six months or so
