I'm a tad confused dot com
After checking Parkers i got a rough good condition price for my 2003 220 CDI SE Panoramic of £2,990. Seemed a bit on the cheap side to me and after looking at Autotrader/Ebay i found price ranges from £3k up to over £5k. Am not pushing for a sale here as i will put it on Autotrader anyway but could anyone give me a clue please? 85k miles, cloth, new boots, panoramic roof, rust free, alloys, runs sweet etc etc..
Apologies if this looks like an ad, it really isn't lol. Although i might advertize it on here once i know what i should be looking for.

    Cheers in advance..

I think you try it priced cheaper than the dealers but at a price that reflect what it is

You don't say if it is a Saloon or Estate?

Also a face lift will command more.

If it's any help about 3 months ago I sold a 2002 220 CDI SE Panoramic Evolution, FSH, new tyres, leather, auto, 12 months MOT and 9 months tax. Did have 160K on it and rusty arches, but was otherwise perfect.

    Got £1200.

Used car prices don't really have a level, especially at the moment.
What people ask, and what they get may differ considerably. Also, a trader will get far more than you will, as they will have to repair and warranty the car.
So, as most prices on auto trader will be traders you'll have to pitch lower than them by enough to tempt someone away.
The last car I bought was the panda a couple of months ago. Traders asking prices on auto trader for the age and mileage around £2500. I found a private seller asking £2100 and then bartered them down to £1800. An excellent deal admittedly but +/- a hundred or so, thats as good as they were going to get, even if the average asking price did appear to be £2500.
