Hi there

Can anyone recomend which model merc I should be looking for. I want something old that looks the business, maybe from 1970's. I want one in relatively good nick, as I don't want a big maintenance bill a week after buying it! Price wise, I would be looking at maybe the 3k mark. Would that be a reasonable amount in order to secure a decent set of wheels?

Sorry to be so vague - I hope you have some ideas

Hi,
Have a look on E bay, there are a couple of nice older Mercs in the auction. The only problem with this is if the car is too far away to get to see it before buying. I bought a set of nice 16" alloys from a company called SMS in Slough. Old stock but brand new and only £150 for 4. Happy hunting.
