What size of alloy is best

Thanks to the answers to my previous post and i hope you are all well. I am asking what is the best size of alloy to go up from the standard set on my
E320 01 Avantgarde. First Merc and very happy so far,would like to change the alloy for better looks whats your thoughts.

standards are 16" from memory. You could go to 17" without too much harm but I'd balk at 18". They'll look good but the ride will be awful.

Thanks jberk for that. Been looking around to see what other peoples thoughts are on other sites. Some have 18 and some have the 19 They say that they had to change the springs and shock set up. But i think 17 will do me, saves all that other messing around.

17" with a suitable quality tyre will be best. the car can easily accomodate upto 19" but the ride will suffer.

Just be careful with what you buy as the E has a large front hub/grease cap which can cause difficulty with some aftermarket wheels

He must stick to MB hub centric wheels, and yes the ride on 19" would be horrible
