What spec should I look for

Just joined the group I am looking at buying an slk 280. 350 r 171 just wanted to know if there are extras I should definitely look for I am looking at something with between 40000 to 50000 miles full
Service history I have seen some with head scarfs heating for example ,any help with the spec would be much appreatiated also is it worth looking for an amg version of this car

Hi and welcome.
The only AMG version of the call is the SLK55 and they come at something of a premium. Anything else badged AMG is just a badge. Is it worth finding one? Depends what you want it for.
Air Scarf is a good option to look for as is Command, Pano roof is good to have.

Excellent choice of car

Airscarf and heated seats are essential

Try a few, 16” wheels are much more comfortable than the 18” - 280 comes standard with 16”

Check the engine doesn’t have the balance shaft issues - later the better. Also check the subframe isn’t rusting away.

Comand is nice but dated.

SLK 55 is very nice indeed but much more expensive.
