As my beloved C200 Sport Estate (W202) has now been written off by my insurers I am now in the market for another one. I want another W202, it doesn't need to be an estate but I am thinking of going up a notch.

So, do I go for a C240 or a C280? What are the relevant pros/cons?

Fuel consumption is not really an issue.

Hello Ian, why not get the 280 much more fun with little difference in the fuel consumption based on the power to weight ratio, its the same 112 lump, with no real problems.
