Hi..
The wheels on my car are 16" ones (on the photo)..
Please can someone tell me what the official name for them is..
I am thinking of replacing one or two of them because they are badly kerbed and also have the creeping corrosion beneath the surface of the paint.
I particularly like them because they are very easy to clean.
The car is a 2003 C270 CDI

Thanks in advance for any help.

To me they look like the "Elnath" part number B6 647 0991.

6j x 15 ET31 with 195/65 R15 tyres

Or B6 647 0992, 7J z 16 ET37 with 205/55 R16 tyres

They are only listed for the C200cdi, C22cdi,C180,C200K and C200cgi.

Not for use in conjunction with option code 049/950 and for cars up to 03/04 only Standard silver finish only

Ahh thanks brianbrian..
I did actually go to bed shortly after my last post but was woken by the dreaded phone call from the nursing home..
My Brother is on his way over from Taiwan so he has a heck of a journey compared to me.

I wish you peace Simon, and so sorry to hear that news. When you leave, please take care on the drive home, it is so easy to drift off in thoughts and sadness.

Nature is very kind, I remember the day when my folks left us, the sadness turns to remembrance of the things in life that they went without, so that they could provide for us.

I miss being able just to go to the house, you could just sit there with no demands being made of you.

Thanks for that Malcom..
Just look how civilized Mercedes drivers are..
I am being comforted by total strangers that I have never met..
You know even at this time.. When I climb into my car and close the door, there are a few seconds after that solid "thunk" that only the door of a Merc can make, when I feel peaceful.. I actually forget for a few seconds...
I look forwards to these seconds becoming minutes as the days go by.
Totally off topic ( Please forgive me) my dad was really very ill indeed for the past 5 or 6 months.. Multiple serious problems.. I hope no one thinks me callous but he really is better off now as there was no quality to his life.. He wasn't living.. He was existing !

Sorry for this.. I just feel better putting these raw feelings into words..

Thank you.

Sorry for your loss Simon, and I second what Malcolm says about being careful about the drive. I nearly came a cropper after driving my sister home after my mum died a number of years back.

I hope you got the opportunity to say your goodbye's - with my mum she died suddenly and totally unexpectedly. It was over six years ago and I still think about her every day.

Take care.

Oh, and by the way - I have those wheels too and like them for the same reason as you - they're easy to clean!

My thoughts go with you Simon. It at times like these that you find your friends (those that stick by you and put up with your sorrow, mood swings and roundabouts) and those who can be left behind (everyone I went to school with and 90% of the Vasey residents in my street). I went through it four years ago with the only parent I every knew (my rock).

BTW I like those wheels as they look easy to clean compared to say the AMG Turbines.

My thoughts are with you too Simon and I also know how you feel. I don't know whether the expected or the sudden parting is worse. With the expected, you get to say your goodbyes. I didn't get that and in a way I wish I had. I can safely say that was the worst day of my life.

Talk all you want and don't whatever you do bottle it up like most men and some women tend to do.

I too think about my mum every single day. It doesn't get easier, but you learn how to cope with it

You lot are truly wonderful..
I just read and re read your comments and I have this warm glow inside..
Thank you..
Its people like you who restore my faith in Human nature..
You make me realize that no matter what tragedy life throws at you, you are not alone.. Others have gone before me and had to deal with loss and unfortunately there will be others after me.
This forum is genuinely the best I have had the privilege to be a member of.
I definitely feel an affinity with some of you.. Its really quite strange but its so very welcome.
I really appreciate your comments..
My Dad loved the sea as he was a navy man many years ago.. Before retirement he worked for P&O on the QE2 and the Canberra..
Thats why he lives in (I mean lived:() in Southampton..
There is a beautiful place not far from Southampton called "Bucklers Hard".. Centuries ago they used to make the Galleons there for our Navy.. It has a really interesting museum..
Please look on a map and if you are not to far off why not visit it.. Its a really nice day out and most unusual.

My Dad loved the place, the history and the fact its a part of England that once made Britain great.. I have had a thought of putting his ashes into the water there.. Just where the galleons were once launched..
Somehow that seems very appropriate for a man like him.

Thanks again my friends.

Me too, and my biggest loss in life and that was 12 years ago.

The house has been knocked down, and 5 new ones built in its place, that eased things a lot as there is nothing left to see

Just read your post Simon and you have my heart felt sympathy and as others have said it is hard and never goes away neither should you let it. The sorrow will pass and the good memory's will be with you always.

My parents died some 33 and 24 years ago and not one day goes by that I do not think of them and am not ashamed to say so.

100% is so right (quote "Talk all you want and don't whatever you do bottle it up like most men and some women tend to do" ) it is nothing to be ashamed of and I think your idea of scattering his remains in the place he loved is wonderful and seems very fitting end to a 'man of the sea'

I am so sorry to hear your bad news Simon, it's a slow process and you never really get over it, but time really does make it better. As others have said, it is important not to bottle up your feelings though.

Take care on your drive!

I'm sure i speak for all of us here in saying, our thoughts are with you.

Very best wishes,
