What's the difference between 'Comfort' and 'Sport' settings?

In which case it will probably be much the same and just alter the gear shift parameters.

Thanks for the explanation and the pics. On my car there is no W/S setting. Where the W/S button is in the pic there is a S/C setting only.
The earlier 5 speed AT has the W/S button (winter/standard) which adjusts the gearbox shift programmes, 2004 cars onwards have the 7 speed AT and the button changed to S/C (sport/comfort) which did the same thing.

An old B-Class.
It depends 100% on the car you have. S in my SLK is a totally different experience to S in my SL.

And in my w212 722.6 5 speed, it just seems to hold the gears a bit longer in higher revs when in "S" mode. Or does it do anything else? Any effect on the suspension's?

'Comfort' mode, for subtle driving............Clean knickers :D
'Sport' mode, for spirited driving causing passenger to soil ones knickers ;)

Ah, makes sense now! Mostly in the car on my own so only have my own underwear to worry about!
