Whats the Difference.......

Between the SAP and HFP telephone modules.

Its all too confusing.

I have resigned myself to having to fork out for a bluetooth module but want to try and ensure I have future proofed it (as much as you can do that these days).

I have a Nokia e50 which MB says is compatible with the SAP Module but not HFP but surely bluetooth is bluetooth.

Any help would be appreciated

I don't know the difference in the MB modules but Bluetooth handsets can operate in two different modes, Headset or Hands free.

Depending on the phone or I guess in your case the module Headset only allows you to answer or end a call whilst hands free allows quite a few other functions such as voice tag, divert etc.

My Nokia E73 whilst having both in the menu will only allow selection of Headset for pairing thus limiting its usefullness !!

I would suggest you have a look in the Tools, Bluetooth menu to see what the phone will allow you to do !
