Okay, so yesterday I was travelling up to my partner's families house and I decided to wash my car on the way. I made a terrible decision stopping at the place I went to because they charged me £35. A little excessive I thought?

I have similar prices near my end of the UK but there are definitely some car wash companies that like to push their luck!

£0.50 was the charge and the £0.06 was a tip! Sorry should have been clear on that!
Actually I don’t use external car washes at all- either do it myself or my detailer does a once a month service for me- £40 for the deluxe version done at home/weather dependant

Have just returned from town, where on the way back I lost all 5 races to Stop at red traffic lights that are clearly visible for over half a mile. Was driving the wifes Fiat 500C too, and only beaten by an Audi!!

As we passed what was Homebase, is now Bunions, where there was an excellent Eastern European car wash in the car park for many years that charged £6 for an external wash, one free every tenth one. It was always very busy no matter what time of day and they did a good job. Wonder where it went, although I tend to wash the car myself these days for the exercise and using the 'green' car wash of rainwater collected and power for the pressure washer from the solar panels.
