Hi,

It's one of those weeks !!

Got in to my van today and after about 10mins of driving i noticed a intermitent type of noise coming from the rear somewhere. It sounds like something rubbing on the wheels and gets quicker the faster i went, however once past 50 ish it was quieter and not noticeable I presume road noise drowing it out.

My first thought was diff but that had oil change 8 months ago but i changed that oil and there were no significant fillings on the plug magnet and old oil still resonable clean.

When im driving and i turn right the symptoms go and on straight line come back again , i have jacked up rear and checked for movement on rear wheels and there is a bit of wobble on nsr.

Does this sound like wheel bearing ?

Also is it safe to drive as i have 400 miles to do tommorow and cannot get it into a garage until Weds.

Any info or advive would be great.

Van is a Iveco daily hpi 2.3l lwb

Thanks

If it is a wheel bearing they can run in the noisy state for mile and miles without getting worse
