anyone recommend a wheel bearing kit for a g wagen 230ge one that you have used and not MB as the price is sky high .
Many thanks , I had a price off my local MB dealer but I nearly fell off my chair when he told me the price £182 per side .
Frankly in most cases going to Benz for pts is nuts, on the odd occasion one can get a decent deal. Batts, disc's ect,
And watch out for fakes... if it’s too cheap there’s a reason for itIf you do without the car take the bearing off and quote the bearing number on Ebay.
Only buy known brands, SKF FAG etc.

Not cheap but ..... getting on for 10 years ago I paid £100 for a wheel bearing for my Vauxhall Omega from the dealers and then paid a local garage to fit it. At the time, the consensus of opinion of the forum was that I'd paid way over the odds & should've bought far cheaper else where. Mine lasted years whereas theirs didn't!
ie Don't buy too cheap.
As far as I know makers Benz, Vauxhall ect don't make bearings, likely a SKF, fag ntn bearing with dealer mark up. I am aware of car makers organizing bearings to be 1mmm or 0.5 mm different on I/D just to screw up our days and wallets.
