Comments on the refurb colours please..

I have books my wheels in to be refurbed tomorrow morning..
I am still playing with 2 different options..
1st photo shows the standard silver on my car..
2nd photo shows a photo shopped version of Anthracite..
I know its a mock up but its pretty close to what the wheel refurbisher offers..
Which do you think is best for the overall look of the car?

I was considering having them done in the same colour as the body work but I think that would be a step too far..

Opinions please ?

Silver for me too, looks much better IMHO.

Silver.

The other colour looks permanently dirty - even when clean.

Matching your car's colour should really only be for split rims etc., where you can match the centre but retain a silver/chrome finish on the dish/llips.

My gut feel was I was going to prefer silver. And sure enough, when I look at the darker version, somehow it looks a bit 'gangsta mobile'. But when I then go back to the original silver, it just looks sort of plain and boring (made me wonder why they all need to be silver, when the cars themselves can be any colour you like!). So just to be controversial, I've voted anthracite. :)

M6 Cab - prior to that, SL63 AMG, A-M V8 Vantage, SL55, SL500 and many more
Just to confuse the issue - take a look at "black chrome" - the front is really shiny, fading to complete black further in - sounds weird but looks good.

If this company is anywhere near you - http://www.thewheelspecialist.co.uk/wheel-finishes/customise-your-wheels/ - worth a visit (pictures never look as good as the real thing)

They operate a same day service (powder coat) & will discount if you say you are a member here (apparently - I didn't know that when I had mine done!!)

What colour are they at the moment? -- they seem to be a little dull?

Maybe a silver with a little more sparkle.
