Have the chance of a set of genuine Merc alloys, 7J x 15" ET37 fitted with almost new 205 x 60 tyres.
Am I correct in assuming these wheels will fit mine (described below) OK? If so, info. on tyre pressures for this size would also be appreciated.
I'm aware of the wheel-bolt issue.
Many thanks, Tom.

P.S. For anyone interested, just had a quote for entire bonnet repaint (stone chips and blister), entire roof panel, including sunroof (couple of blisters and a bad scratch respectively) and the petrol flap (small blister) - £250 all-in. Going in in a couple of weeks. Already had fair bit of work done by this guy previously - all four wheel arches etc. so I know the quality of his work. Not really so bad up here in 'the sticks' after all!

Tom. They are off a C-Class. The ET no for 7" on the W124 is is 41mm. This means that the 37mm ET will be sticking out 4mm more than normal. Don't think it should be a problem. The 205/60 tyres are correct.

Tyre pressures

Thanks Pascal. This is as I thought - just needed some confirmation from an expert. The tyres fitted are nearly-new 'Conti Eco Contacts', so they're at least as good as my well-worn 'Tigar's'!
Cheers, Tom.

P.S. Any info. regarding pressures, just in case?

Hi tom7035

Your painting quotation IS low. I've just had a provisional quote for a bonnet paint job of around GBP300.00. The repairer I have in mind is a highly experienced professional who runs a champion bodyshop. Maybe his quotation is more a reflection of his status. His quote includes materials and all work is guarrantied. Are you happy with your repairers handiwork and do you think it will last?

REGARDS Phil

Hi Phil.
Entirely happy so far. It's a year since he did all four wheel arches (which in fact was both front wings, one new, and both rear quarter panels) plus two door panels which were blistering a little. Still all sound. Just a small father & son business which dad started 45 years ago.
Touch wood!
Cheers, Tom.
