Wheel nut covers 16mm? for W222

Hi,

I have had my wheels refurbished but want to put wheel nut covers on to finish off the new look. I did have chrome covers but only 4 per wheel as the locking nut was different. A couple of these have gone missing as well so I am looking for a full set of 20.

Problem is that my wheel nuts are a sort of star shape and fit a 16mm socket. All the covers on sale seem to be 17 or 19mm. Anybody know where I can get 16mm covers.

You'd think that as Mercedes have been making cars for over 100yrs they'd manage to get their wheel bolts sorted. My last car (07 R Class) had 17mm all steel bolts that rusted & looked horrible. My ML now has the same 'star' shaped bolts as you describe, the cover is stainless & when they rattle the bolts off at a tyre bay, it buggers the cap up & they fall off. The bolt head as you say is then something like a 16mm socket. I've just been through this game with my car & glued the cap on with super duper Loctite, needless to say, after I've just had new tyres fitted and insisting the fitter did NOT use his rattle gun, I still lost a cap somewhere.

What about these rubber or silicone the 15mm might squeeze over, or the 17mm with them being silicone tend to grip, just a thought.

Thanks but I really wanted Chrome. I have some that are a bit big but don't want to stick them on.
