Hi guys,
I’ve curbed my car!!! painfully irritating. But such is life. My wheels are like a gun metal grey colour. So I’m struggling to find a touch up pen that’s the same colour. I also can’t find a paint code anywhere to help narrow down the search. I’m sure the wheels didn’t come this colour when the car was new? I’ve posted photos of the wheels. If anyone can narrow down the colour for me I’d be eternally grateful. I’ll happily order the touch up kit online, but it needs to match, so I don’t have to send it back.
Thanks in advance.

post a pic of the curb rash - a touch up pen may not cut the mustard and it may need a refutb as opposed to painting over the damage.

I don't see any damage in the photos you showed us, are they photos of the damage ? there was a minuscule scratch in the second photo but I wouldn't call that curb rash, anyway, to match the colour, take a photo of the wheels in good sunlight with your phone, then go to the nearest Tesco or similar shop, and head straight to the nail polish section, you'll more than likely find a suitable colour there and they come with their own brush built in.

Excuse the tyre. Garage changed wrong one, but damaged my continental as they took it off. So had to give me a cheap replacement. As they ‘apparently’ had no other continentals in stock.

The first thing I do if I curb a wheel (usually happens once in the life of each car :() is to touch up the damage using clear coat lacquer (touch up top coat) which seals the alloy and stop the metal corroding. Can't help with your colour question though - sorry

you can sand that out, remove the wheel from the car, protect the tire (it's damaged but protect it anyway) and then start sanding with wet/dry sandpaper. Once you've smoothed out the rough edges, you can repaint, I've had much worse damage on wheels I've owned in the past and managed to make them look presentable after sanding/painting.
