I have had now for a while a squeaking problem which sounds like its coming from my wheels. I took it to a Rhinos Tyre dealers who tried to resolve the problem by using some emery cloth on the brake disks as they thought it was catching but this didn't work. I had the brake pads changed only last November and are still in very good condition. The squeeking happens usually when I'm driving around 5-20 mph and is getting very irritating, any help would be appreciated on this.

Hello, how many miles have you done since November?

Are the pads work, my pads currently need replacing and squeak at same speed - it's the wear sensor. A friend had a similar problem to you and mentioned the calipers were sticking..

Did the Rhino people comment on that?

The squeaking coulle be one of many things, suspension, drop links ARB bushes, calipers, dry backing pplates on pads, rubbers so on and so forth.
If it was the disks they would need machining as I doubt an emery cloth would do much at all.

I would suggest going to a proper mechanic and not a tyre dealer.

Since november roughly between 5-7K as I only drive it half of the year as i work away.

Yes pads seem fine when braking, I mentioned that the callipers were sticking but they had it on the ramp and said that this was fine?

Thank you Mioba, I will be sure to take it next time I am home somewhere different and mention the suggested problems you have to them and see what they say!

Maybe pop the pads out and put copperslip on the back?

chamfer leading edge of pad with a file.

if squeak persists get silicon grease spray and squirt on ARB bushes.
If still there, spray drop links etc, go through all bushes & joints one by one- that way you get to positively identify the culprit.

To rule out items in the brakes making this noise jack the wheel up and spin it - no noise then it will be something else on the suspension like the rubber bushes or links ..
