I'd be looking for air/vacuum leaks on your brake servo or it's associated pipework.

The vacuum pipe from the inlet to the servo has a one way valve in it,,its worth checking that,,you can do so by sucking and blowing

It can't be the one way valve, but, it could be a servo fault. (Either a punctured diaphragm or, a faulty inter-chamber valve not fully closing)

Temporarily blocking the vacuum pipe to the servo would enable this possibility to be investigated in the workshop. With the servo blocked off, I wouldn't take the car on the road.

Thats a good thread resurrection! The last post was over 7 years ago!!!

Sounds to me like a faulty brake servo.

Two totally off the wall non mechanical ideas:
1 - the brake pedal is moving the carpet mat slightly which is catching on the accelerator pedal
2 - I have the same problem occasionally when driving my wife's Mini Cooper - one of my big feet on the brake pedal sometimes touches the accelerator pedal at the same time

As I said, totally off the wall ideas......

HIGH REV WHEN BRAKING SOLVED!!!

Thank you for the reply. after two weeks of research, I have learnt that such a problem can be a result of various issues such as vacuum leak, brake servo like you mentioned. GUESS WHAT? yesterday i then recalled how and when the problem started. It started when i put a small size tyre on the driver side (front) (185/60/15) instead of 195/65/15. I suppose this had an effect on traction, hence the car was not balanced and to some extent this affected the braking system. I then went to the garage yesterday and put the right tyre size. NOW THE PROBLEM IS SOLVED, THE CAR CAN NOW BRAKE WITHOUT REVING!!!!... To my collegues out there who might be having this problem especially with a kompressor c200, I suggest they make sure they are using tryes of the same size. HOPE THIS WILL HELP. IT WORKED ON MY CAR

^ thank you tasmulz, hopefully this will help some people- just for my understanding the way you have written this....are you saying that your front axle had a 185/60/15 on the drivers side and a 195/65/15 on the other(passenger) side??

Thats a HUGE difference in wheel diameter - 185/60 is over 30mm smaller than 195/65!!!

I'm amazed you didn't notice it in the steering, braking (pulling to one side) or ESP issues.

ESP would kick in well before that! (as long as it functioned at all!)
Clearly I've not tried that set up ( who would?), but with that difference I'd be surprised if the ESP didn't give up the ghost

I would have thought it would kick in all the time to to resolve the imbalance and the only way to drive it would be to turn it off.
