Thank you all so much,,I know it may be daft as I fix all of this gear but have never used it,,,I have lots of info now to play with and choices, so I will probably end up with a bit of all of it.

When living in Sweden I did work for the radio stations and took home 1000,s of free samplers,,but they are all table mats now

You could try buying cd's from Play.com or Amazon.com.

They source all kind of music and very very cheap

Then the right PC utility should remove the crackle of those old 78's

Hi some music just can't be found on CD's our down loaded from web site, so I play it from a the web site's & record it at the same time then burn it on a disc.

I buy all my CD's off ebay and pay from £1-£3 per disc, then I put them on my MP3 20gb, Ive managed to get my collection of pink floyd, led zep, the who and others.

yes second that, if your going to stop legal, then get the CD's off ebay/amazon/etc for a few £'s then convert into MP3's, works out a lot cheaper than downloading the same tracks. You can then sell the CD's on.
