Where is the diagnostic socket in the CL55 AMG 2000 reg

Any idea where the socket is for the diagnostic plug.And how many pins is it 16 or38?Is it OBD1 or 2?

have you checked the usual places, 16pin under the area where your hand brake release is, and 38pin on the rear right under the bonnet, thats assuming your standing at the front of your car

Many car did not get the under the dash 16 pin till 2001 and mainly on new models after that date. Some of the USA cars had it, but not in the UK

38 pin, right hand side of the engine as you look at it, theres a small cover with a 13mm nut to remove the cover, its in a box with a aircon sticker on it!

I do not need a pin out box on mine,,I know that every component has left a fault code
