Following my mistake yesterday thinking my PAS on a 2012 Viano 3.0CDi was elec I'm going to change the fluid now I know it's a hydraulic system.
Mercedes would no doubt sell me the correct fluid but I want 2lit and they would be charging around £42 delivered from what I can see. 2lit of Febi fluid would be under £22 delivered which appeals more.
Apart from Febi's application chart which seems sure I need their 08972 fluid I can't find anywhere the Mercedes part no/grade for my vehicle and I would like to double check. My handbook makes no mention of topping up the power steering or a fluid type.
Any thoughts appreciated.
