Can anybody point me to where I will be able to get some paint to cover a small patch on my w123 once I've cut out some rust and patched it up.

The rusky site lists the paint as 'Labrador Blue (T) code 312'

Cheers!

Brown Brothers, if you have one close by.

Any paint shop can make some up from the code.

Thanks for all the replies, I've obviously underestmated the factors and large chains. I looked in the flip chart thingy in Halfords and they didn't list it, but I didn't bother asking.

I'll nip down there this afternoon, and I'll try Brown Brothers, they're always pretty good, trade only, but happy with my 'trade cash account' ;)

I've never done any painting/spraying before, is it possible to get a reasonable result using an aerosol (only a small area) and blending it in with the surrounding paintwork?

This is a long subject, what is on the car ? in your case it will be Base coat 2k
I think. though the base coat will spray and blend ok, the only available top coat is cellulose is not the same as a 2k clear coat and it will go darker, Though base coat is not a finnish in itself, the effect could look better leaving at that. You cant buy 2k as it is a two pack product.
You cant use paints under 20c if you do try it will run, and bloom,as the drying time will be to long, and this will trap the solvents inside, not good.
Aerosols are not easy to use at the best of times, do hold it 12" away, and do not try and cover in one pass, you cant as the paint/thinner ratio is too little, practice on something first. Most people do not succeed very well

I concur entirely with Malcolm. Applying automotive spray paint successfully by whatever means is a practised art.
