Where to get spares?

I need to get 3 coil packs for my E280, can anyone recommend a cheap source?

3 is a lot to go down but GSF or Euro would be worth checking to see if they have them

Yeah I know, I took it to the Merc place and to an indie mechanic and they have both said the same thing, bummer.

Still, the indie will do it for half the price of the Merc shop. Anyway, my last motor was a 27 year old air cooled camper so I'm used to the pain

Hmm, I feel a few choice words may be in order.

Its the kind of response you get from an engineer or garage that do not understand car electrics, Its not hard to work out which coil has gone

if you want to get over to Reading area by appointment I will fit onto your car my 3 coils and prove one way or another what the situation is.

Your cost is 20 punds beer money.

Cannot do it this weekend as away but next week sometime is OK.

I look after a few cars for enthusiasts and been around for a long time.
