Ok guys im looking for some help.

After 6 weeks of my amp not working and just getting a blank screen woth the message "please wait" ive just turned on the car and it working fine again! WTF, also my rear camera has always been intermittent working 1 in 100 times, thats also now working fine. So maybe its not the amp and its some kind of wire? Any advice would be greatly recieved

Forst thing i checked when it went off. All ok

Just seamed strange it all came back on after 6 weeks of no sound, pluss the camera being back on. New amp on way anyway

they fail over 6 months to a year.... getting worse and worse. when you have NO sound anywhere but everything else seems to operate correctly - go to FM radio - if you see the normal view with all menus but no station list or numbers the AMP is 100% at fault

another guy always used his DAB, then you get the spinning wheel symbol looking for stations, and you think its a reception fault....

TV is a separate optional box, DAB is a separate optional box, but the Amp with the FM LW SW radio tuner are an integral unit (and must be there to operate and display the HVAC). All of them sit inside the boot behind the left rear wheel....

if you have a facelift car with 7 digit postcode.... (NTG3.5) you should remove the harddrive from the comand unit and make an image of the drive (don't know how but u need to), then write it to a new harddrive… it with save you 700 to 1200 soon enough - the drive on the newer units dies after not long at all (5 years) the older NTG3.0 seems to plod on much longer (3x)

if you have an intermittent break (or other fault) in the MOST fibre optic circuit, things should be much more strange, the failure should be more everything stops...

the camera on the NTG 3.0 goes direct to the comand unit not via the MOST (no idea on the later one) it can be impacted by other can bus fun or the optional iPod 2 kit
