which is compatible with the Merc Hands Free? 6210 or 6310?

my boss has an 04 reg Mercedes ML 270

and he's got the Hands free kit that came with it (Factory Fitted),i believe it is the Mercedes one (not aftermarket).
so he asked me to find a phone to fit it,i looked at the shape and i kinda knew it was the Nokia 6210 fitment.

but what i'm wondering is,can you also use a 6310i aswell in the handsfree? as he wants like a more newer model phone.

oh by the way the hands free isn't the one thats in the armrest.

Hi, I have used the same kit for the 6210 and then upgraded to a 6310 it works fine, trouble is the 6310 is now discontinued so it looks like a new car kit willbe needed next time.
