He did a H&R spring upgrade, I can't find the thread as the search function is still restricted
Thanks. Nice looking car
Not giving you a "like" for that one buddy
Probably well worth it, H&R are superb
The truth always hurts
Was it this one ? ( apologies if not I didn’t read it all the way...)
No , there's a picture of Olly driving it on the track. Autumn last year was the post IIRC
Sorry should have read it.. I’ll have a further look...I do recall the picture now you mention it!
Although it was KW V3's he'd fitted not H&R
why not buy an r170 first , see if she likes the SLK and then upgrade it
She is too scary...
Diesel convertible.....are you mad!
Mercedes wouldn't put the diesel engine into a convertibuble for the UK market until Audi started selling them. I've had many a diesel and loved them dearly. However the petrol V6 in my SLK sounds great on full chat
Bet it does
I'm sure I contain madness buddy . But it's MB that build them and put the engines in them , I wasn't consulted by them over the diesel convertible side of things
It sounds better than a Standard SL500 exhaust (I drove an SL500 to Le Mans last year with an AMG engine) and the V6 sounds better .
I'd seriously try a few and see what the management like, especially the wheels, (18" AMG's look great but don't last long on our roads and are uncomfortable to say the least). They all look great, I really like the "SLS" fronted R171 (which is why I have one...). The R170 is getting a bit long in the tooth now and the R172 is too much like an R230 SL for my liking.
I've always thought r231 rather than r230 (mind you facelift r230 is fairly similar).
Yes, R231 not R230
