Which MOST bypass loop ( Lollypop ) Female or Male?

I thought I would get one of these MOST Bypass Loops, before the amp comes back from repair.

This is a female version

I just automatically assumed the relevant Unit, like the AMP or Tel. Module would be the Female, so to bypass it I would need a FEMALE loop.

Then I saw they do Male lollypop??

So which do I need to say bypass the CD or the Tel. Control unit.?

Female or Male?

When you see them on eBay for Mercedes or BMW ... do they all use the exact same connector blocks?

Or should you get them from MB (as long as they are not too overpriced)
