It will be obvious to people of a certain age were my user name comes from (evening all) my first Mercedes was a C180 and I currently have a 1997 E300TD "210" and am complelty sold on the comfort, relability, performance the list go's on, however it is rusting away before my very eyes, last year I spent a lot on the body and this year have just had to have a hole in the foor welded which I believe is not good for an 11 year old Mercedes, I have had older Ford's (sorry about the language) that have not required that. I understand this was not a good car for paint and body so my request is can anybody recommend a repacement please, I would like a E320 CDI and understand some years and models are better than others hopefully people out there will be able to share some of there experiences. I will not be replaceing until next year and would like to stay under the year 2000 so as to keep the tax lower and am also sold on diesels. So there we are my first post and a request for help.
