personally I like the w221 shape but with the w222 technology.

That said I’m fond of the 140 as well, but the 220 onwards started becoming style over substance in my mind.
Great cars don’t get me wrong but just not engineered the same way.

Never liked the 221 much, like the 212, it was what seemed to be the "bland" era. Had a 220 (facelift) which was lovely apart from dismal headlights, and an now seriously consider a 222, which are beautiful inside and out.

Hmm, another tough one
For me W111/112, W108, W116 and W126, (because I have had those models )
The 126 has the longest production run so far, so got to have been a good car in its day, still is. Which means go and buy a good one and it will only increase in value Prices today are fairly good.

For classic class the W111/112.
To own and daily drive, the W222 Great looks which I think will age well and an interior that looks like it has been cut from a single piece.

You really should say the 222, but for me it is the 111/112. That was the first MB that I had the opportunity to drive and it has stuck in my mind ever since. In those days it was the bee's knee's.
