hi, some help please. We have just purchased a 2015 C200 Sport 205 series and want to purchase a space saving wheel as a sparesince none is supplied ! The car has 225/50 R17 tyres front & rears standard.
We believe that the 2074000102 hub is the standard space saver although this is quite a large diameter that takes up a lot of space. Is there another option such as the 20340120002 hub with a 165-15 89P tyre supplied with our CLC. Would this smaller diameter space saver be ok on the C200 205 series or is there another choice along similar lines?
We also need a jack for the C200 would that be a A203 583 04 15 type 203/209 as supplied with the CLC.

Thanks Nikki

thanks for your reply.
The smaller Space saver is easier to place in the boot since the diameter is much smaller. Just need to know if it will be ok to use on the C200. If I know I can use on the car so will see if it will go under floor althoughthat will be a bonus.

If you're going to be putting it in the boot please secure it in case of accident as it would make a particularly good unguided missile.

Really need to find out which Space Saver will work on the C200 since the smaller diameter would be much easier to carry if only they would fit ?

Once I have spare it will be secure.
Thanks Nikki

The overall diameter needs to match (or be within <1%) of the existing tyres. You can't have 1 tyre significantly smaller (diameter wise) than the others. It can be narrower (all space savers are) but not shorter.

Your point is well made.

However, Not sure how the space saver tyre works since the 20340120002 hub with a 165-15 89P tyre supplied with our CLC is a much smaller diameter than the 17 hub tyres on the CLC car.

The side walls of the space saver tyre appear to be folded inwards so that the tyre diameter must be able to expand in some way when the tyre is inflated.
The external diameter of the C200 and CLC are the same, that is why I was asking if the 20340120002 hub with a 165-15 89P tyre supplied with our CLC would fit the C200.

Thanks

Nikki
