whistling noise

got a whistling noise after I first drive off but only happens on first pull off once car started I have changed both the two bottom intercooler hoses as know they are common to go but have still got the noise any one got any idea as to how to check or where to look for the source of leak

Do you hear the whistle if you increase the revs when idling..?

What about checking the air cleaner box is closed properly as it might have a small gap.......

So that means it is aerodynamics causing the whistle.
Get some electricians tape and experiment by putting it outside on the body. It comes off easily without leaving any marks.
By the way, when did you first notice the whistle..? Was anything done just before that..?

Totally this. Very common to have broken exhaust studs on some engines. As the manifold warms up it seals from expansion of the metal and the noise goes away. It will only get worse unless fixed.

noise goes within 30 seconds and don't come back until car fully cold and restarted and 30 seconds driving

Give that there are 5 to 8 of these studs, it must be difficult to pinpoint the stud causing the whistle.

Exhaust (and manifold) leaks are often visible due to the soot they leave behind.

If it was aerodynamics the whistling would be constant at certain speeds, its not, only on lift off

The OP didn't say that it was overrun.

Yep. Got me there. 2 different posters with 2 different problems.... wish people would start a new post with a new problem instead of crashing in on a current one.

And as mentioned it's almost certainly a manifold leak. Broken studs are a common cause.
