Hi

Why does my starter solenoid have 2 spade connectors ?
Surely, one is enough to receive the signal from the ignition switch to pull the plunger.

Thanks in advance.

Your starter solenoid may have a 12v feed out to your ignition to bypass a ballasted coil feed to give better starting ie 12v feed to ign coil when starter cranking 9-10v feed to coil when engine running via ballast resistor. If your car does'nt have that type of system then that starter may then fit other vehicle(s) that do;)

It does not pay to get old, i clean forgot the ballast ressistor cars of the 70's and early 80's. those cars used a 8 volt coil that was fed with 12 volt during cranking to boost the output by 40%.

Thank for comming up with the Ultymate solution.:D :D :D
