Why.... just why?

I can see why IF the person building them wanted to get their work noticed and show their skills. from a looks point of view, (or even a common sense point of view) WHY??? if it was built by a hot rod builder, why not make it in THAT style, instead of taking a CLK and jacking it up on a ladder chassis and sticking bits of old Daimler or Rolls Royce onto them? (back end reminds me of some old Daimlers or Rolls Royce's ive seen used as wedding cars)

Still not sure what the builder was trying to achieve with all this work. Rear and quarters bear a (very) vague similarity to a chopped 34 coupe but there's no way you could get the 34 look with the MB front end. Ended up with a Bernie/ Leepu job- shame when you think of the 100's of hours it must have taken to build. Hope someone will like it though.

Unfortunately it's not very original, used to get done every other week in the 80's if you watched the A Team, but at least they always wrecked them soon after.
