Been looking on the VIP style forum in the usa. Most of the W202s have 19 or 20 inch rims. Would these go on my W202 or do you have to do body mods to the arches to make them fit. Seen a couple of sets of 19s on ebay and wondering if its worth a go. Any advice would be helpful.:):):)

Assuming the rolling radius of the wheel isnt any greater than standard also the wheel width and the offset is correct for the car then it shouldnt be a problem, the wheel arches may need to be rolled for extra clearence.
Can only assume 20" wheels would need a tyre of 30-35 which to me sounds like a rough ride.

18" wheels are the biggest listed for a 202 and as Jib above the sidewall is getting very thin, they are 40 for 18" and as he says 30 for 20"

So take a 225 wide tyre with a 30 profile that gives a side wall height of 67mm, allowing for the wheel this would then be about 40mm

BlackC55 (member on here) had 19's on his 202. The wheel arches on my 202's are both already rolled, so yours probably are too.
The largest wheel MB fitted to the 202 chassis as standard was a 17" rim though it is commonly known that with the right offset and rubber 18"s will fit.
With 17's the ride can be quite hard i can only imagine what the ride would be like with 18's or 19' rims on it, better get to know a chiropractor quite well me thinks.
Do remember as jib says you must maintain the correct profile on the tyre to keep the same rolling radius otherwise you could cause problems with cruise control ABS/Traction system etc.
Whatever you decide to do good luck and do let us know what you decide and pics would be nice when you get them.

Been looking at these cars in detail, and they all seem to have air suspension so may explain how they make them fit and the ride they have. Plus some look like show cars and not used as every day rides.

Very few of the cars have the self leveling suspension in the 202 range

Not as standard they have replaced the original shocks and springs with air bags or hydraulics, as you see in rap videos with cars bouncing up and down. Its very expensive and handles like a bag of spanners. OK on american roads but no good for european roads with corners in.
