Don't know if they'll fit but they will mess up the ride and handling. I only have 245/45's on 17" and mine can get twitchy on poor surfaces (99% of Uk roads) and the ride can be a bit harsh at times, plus the fuel economy is hit by the greater rolling resistance, especially in the wet.

My Dads 211 with 225s on 16" wheels actually rides better. It may not grip quite as well at the limit but they aren't exactly sports cars anyway.

Ok - though I admit it, mine does look better.

anyway - you'll need the ET number off the wheels and make sure they are merc compatible as apparently MBs differ from most by being 'hub-centric'

With wheels is do you want to look at it or do you want to drive it. Personally I find it difficult to see the wheels from the drivers seat....

Hello

I'm more for the looks than comfort, heck merc ride pretty well anyway and having always had larger wheels on cars I don't know much difference.

They should look very nice. I had 19" on my previous convertible and it was fine, hardest thing was watching the kerbs when parking :)

Still want larger wheels for current bus as standard 17" just look way too small.

As will they fit as other you need the offset info for the new rims.

Post a pic or two if you swap them

Hello

All wheels have different offsets, so a 17" wheel off one car maynot fit another. Certain wheels of some mnufactures will fit other cars however.

The offset will be stamped on the inside of the Alloy I think its classed at ET then some numbers.

Your car will have a range that will fit it, say ferom ET30 -40 the new wheels need to be the same.

Someone else I hope will know more, but if you don't get the offset correct it will not be right.

maybe worth having a look here

I think they should fit but as explained already in above posts, the ride comfort will be lost and there might be some scrubbing around the wheel arches too. All in all, they will look the part but wont be very practical. you should go for 18" or 19" with Goodyear tyres as they stretch alot better around wider wheels.

Hope this helps
