window not closing

I have E220 estate. The rear N/S electric window will not go all the way up.I found the white plastic rectangle under the window has a metal bracket attached to it which seems to slip sideways. A new mechanism costs £180 anyone had this problem any cheap fix not sure what is supposed to stop it rotating on bracket.

What year is your vehicle? Sometimes you can use the key on the passenger side turn it to the left and hold for about ten seconds, usualy this should lock all doors and close all windows. good luck.
