Yesterday, as the weather was rubbish and it was raining , my drivers side window regulator decided to give up the ghost .....
Managed to pull the window back up, had a shop about for a new one, £19 of eBay or £80 plus vat from Mercedes , well , had a read on some of the posts on here and decided to strip the regular out and have a decent look, as people have put on the forum, they are actually quite poorly put together , 3 little tack welds had come off and that then made the whole thing give up..... so , decided to have a go myself , drilled the tack welds out and re welded the tacks, then welded a bit more on the centre pin and on the outside of the pin by the cog, anyway , long story short, it worked a absolute treat, so a big thank you to whoever posted the original post, I now have a working window again
( have ordered a eBay one , that can be a spare )
