Window stuck

HI, I have a 300 SL (107) and tonight the nearside window would not go down , can any one tell me what the problem might be, when you press the button you could feel that the motor was doing something.

sounds like the glass is jamming in the guide

Try 'palming ' it down as you work the switch. You might be able to lubricate the guide a bit, if that's sticky. More likely that the regulator needs adjusting a little bit, as it might be forcing the glass into the guide way too hard and far.

Was an E300TD, now a Lexus LS400
You can normally lubricate the window frame with silicone spray. Sometimes an organic scum builds up on the window seal and that makes the window stick, I just clean it off with a razor blade.

Is that more enviromentally friendly than regular Scum :confused: or is it a Mercedes special order :p
