I have had problems on several occasions where the windows of my SL would not close after closing the door.
After 2 new modules I decided to take a closer look to them.
The pins that stick out the casing for the connectors are connected to the print by us of spring tension (a small bent part of the connector pin).
This type of connection can become a problem over time.
just open the box clean the surface rebend the clip and reinstall.
You can try a bit of soldering but you must not overheat the print and parts on it. Tin the pins beforehand, heat the pin before installing. a short touch on the print with the iron should then make a sound connection.
Force cool the print immidiately (ask somebody to stand by with a running hairdryer that can blow cold air)
It is good practice to ask the garage to put replaced parts in the car. They might think you don't trut them, so explain to them that sometimes repair at component level is possible and rather straightforward. Defective parts can sometimes be easily replaced by a tv or computer repair shop.
