Windscreen scuttle rubber

Hi

My car has been misting up quite bad and I have noticed water on top of the pollen filter housing. The rubber seal/lip at the bottom right hand side of the windscreen which is connected/part of the scuttle doesn’t sit flush with the glass and the water is managing to get down onto the pollen filter housing. There is no adhesive on any of the rubber along the bottom of the windscreen and I don’t want to use any adhesive incase it causes problems should I ever need to have the windscreen replaced.
I have tried cleaning the rubber but it still ain’t sitting flush with the glass.
Anyone have any tips on how to get a tight seal against the windscreen again?

Silicone sealant? Easily removed in the event a windscreen needs replacing.

Oh right cool. I never knew that.
I thought because there was no sealant on any of the scuttle rubber it wasn’t supposed to be used there.

Silicone sealant? Easily removed in the event a windscreen needs replacing.

Do u recommend any particular silicon sealant? Proper for automotive or can it be any type.
