windscreen wiper motor problem!!!!!!

I have problem with motor not working, tried fuses and not that, any suggestions asap (weather deteriorating & work tomorrow) THANKS When switching on can hear quirring noise... is there possibly a belt involved !!!!!! HELP

What car?.
If you can hear a whirring noise when you switch on it means that power is getting to the wiper motor but there is a fault in the drive mechanism.
Did this happen suddenly or was the wiper sticking or acting oddly before?.
