Windscreen wipers, windscreen and COMAND additions

Hi just bought my first Merc, an S320 CDi 2002 facelift model. Few questions I have straight off so if any one can help that would be great...

1. Windscreen wiper blades... I've tried everywhere to get them cheaper than Mercedes but to no avail, do I really have to stump up nearly £80 for new ones from Mercedes or is the somewhere that does them cheaper.

2. Windscreen itself is littered with stone chips some of them quite big which is probably why the wipers are shot. Is this common after only 37 thousand miles? It's a merc windscreen. I have also noticed bubbling within the glass itself in the bottom corner, this usual too? Any chance I might be able to get a replacement under warranty?

3. I have all the buttons for TV and phone on the COMAND system but they're not fitted and I don't have the pre-wiring. Anybody know someone who can 'bolt-on' the bluetooth phone kit and the tv tuner?

I know it sounds like I'm just tight, but after the fight I just had with them just to get them to replace a windscreen washer unit under warranty I am reluctant to give them any more money, especially for something as simple as windscreen wipers.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Eurocarparts have blades listed at £30-35.

I had a look at a S320cdi recently, leading edge of roof, rear edge of the bonnet and the windscreen looked like they'd been blasted with a shotgun. (so I didn't buy it). I suspect its something to with aerodynamics at motorway speeds. I'd be very surprised if the windscreen is a warranty job. Sounds like normal wear and tear.

It's a little unethical, and I clearly wouldn't consider such a thing, but insurance co's don't penalise you for windscreen replacement......

Hey I like that eurocarparts site, but hopefully i won't be using it to much as my Merc is never going to need anything fixing... ever! (hmmm yea right). Thanks for the info.

As for ethics, I don't know what you mean!... oh, gotta go, just heard something that sounded just like someone nasty little kid throwing a brick at my windscreen.. oh no... anyone got the number for Autowindscreens?
