I 2005 BMW E60 530d. 2012 Mercedes e class estate.
The nearside wing mirror on a 2004 c class 220 estate will not respond to the adjusment switch. The off side does, and both will fold. Would the switch or the mirror itself be the culprit here? In addition the faulty mirror has a warning on screen that the indicator is faulty but it's working fine.

Yup, If you are handy with a soldering iron then do not let anyone tell you to replace that mirror. I purchased some extra flexible wire from Maplins (Are they still in business?), plus some of that shrink wrap tubing. Then, off with the mirrors and I cut out the relevant area that flexed and one by one I added the short length of wire for the area that flexed. I might have been OTT because I did every wire on both mirrors. I did this on the principal that both mirrors folded the same number of times and I thought that once one wire gave up the ghost, the rest would shortly follow.

I found out how to remove the wing mirror by using good old Youtube,

Good luck

Can agree with the above, went through all this with my (enormous apatite for money) e320. Broken wires, but alas, my son repaired it all and no charge :D bless him.

Hello, Have you tried pressing and holding the power fold button for about 10 secs or so... a little glimmer of hope before the inevitable conclusion ...

Or get someone to give it a wiggle as you press the button. If you get a response its definitely a broken wire. Though it's probably that anyway.
