Wing Mirrors not folding in and out

Hi I have a CLC model Merc 2008. Button inside car folds mirrors in and out but now they don’t set when pressed. They make a loud clicking noise and only fold in? Can anyone help I’m sure this is a common problem but cannot find and videos anywhere how to fix. Thanks

Almost certainly a broken wire or more in the loom behind the mirror.
Continual folding in and out and the wires eventually break, usually at the point where the mirror folds.

Take the mirror cover off and it will probably reveal the break. Plenty of youtube videos showing how its done. Yours should be similar to the W204 C class.

But it’s on both mirrors simultaneously it happens in sync..
