Wing mirrors repair?

You can buy the indicator strip and replace it.
You have to buy the whole strip, even if only one LED has stopped working.
Replacement is simple.

You only need a long, narrow, flat blade screwdriver to depress the clip that holds the cover on. Remove the cover (the electrical connections unclip themselves) and then replace the strip.

I'm sure that there are threads with pictures in the DIY section.

I am sure you can with a little skill change the led's also. Need a dead one to test if anyone wants to test this theory

I am sure you can with a little skill change the led's also. Need a dead one to test if anyone wants to test this theory

If it's anything like the high level rear brake light then not as easy as you think. The casing is hermetically sealed and I couldn't take it apart without causing irreperable damage to the unit. I gave up in the end.

If I remember rightly, I think they are about £20 ea for the mirror leds.

Oh, for £20 maybe its not worth it. I did my high level and it was pretty easy

There have been some changes in the construction of the high boot lamps.

The early versions could just fall apart on their own, just walking around an MB car park one could often see the outside face laying on the ground.

Newer one are sealed much better and hard to take apart.
