Wiper - noisey sounds if gears worn!

For the last 3 years wipers have been noisey -sounds like fogs croaking - I am afraid they may pack in! Wiper motor sounds ok - is it possible to lubricate the gearbox? Or - what about a SH replacement?

Probably the wiper mechanism is worn,or in nead of lubrication.......

A secondhand unit from a breaker would not be that expensive......

Hi James.

This is a quite well known fault on the C class. The lubrcation dries out in the gearbox. It is posible to regrease it. You have to remove the cover at the bottom of the wiper arm. i remember reading a, "How to" on this or another site. Il try and find it and post a link here for you.
