Bought a C270 with a MR21 towbar fitted but with no swan-neck towing ball attached
Witter will NOT supply the original fixed towball unit but only a detachable unit for £115. No reason given?
Please let me know if you are thinking about fitting a detachable ball unit? I would buy the the tow ball bit that you remove?
Thanks

Hi,
A little confused with the wording of your post, the swan neck towing ball is detachable (usually) and the fixed one is mounted on a 2 bolt flange and is the same as the one pictured in the post below.
What attachment has your towbar got to except the ball hitch?
How do you know there is an original fixed towball unit?
I have a detachable tow ball towbar on my C Class, there were 2 options one detachable, one fixed they were completely different designs to each other.

It is the bit from the 2 bolt ball flange to the body of the towbar that is required There is a twin flange with a space about 25mm wide on the body of the towbar. (I thought it was a swan-neck but perhaps I got it wrong!)
Email me on jceuk@aol.com & I will send photo. Don' know how to do it here!
Thanks
