It could be because you have the fuse out for the locking

I believe that on your car you press any button on the remote and insert and turn to key2 within 20 sec, that should re sync it

Hi Malcom,

Tried that too stil no joy. on the link you sent me it said that if the lights were flashing red green in quick succession it could be another prob like the battery, battery is fine turning the engine over very quickly.

Still no joy Malcom, I did read somewhere on the site that if your batteries in the fob were getting flat it might open the car but not the immobilser so tryed new ones still no joy after syncing, lights still flashing. Have disconnected the car battery to see if that might do anything. Keep you updated.

Thanks
Ross

Totally different car I know, but on my CLK the relay for the fuel pump is in the boot. Not sure if it's the same set-up in your car but if that relay were dislodged (say when taking the spare wheel out) that would cause exactly the symptoms you describe. Engine would turn over but not start.

Thanks for your reply. Reading other posts it seems that because of the flashing red and green lights my immobiliser will not turn off. Just need to find out why now:confused:

Regards

Now I know this is going to sound weird but i think my car is self healing. I was sat in the garage with the ignition on and something made a sound and hey presto the car will start. Hell of an immobiliser any thief would get bored waiting all afternoon like i have for it to start. The only worrying thing is could it happen again!!
