I have just obtained a genuine MB wood leather wheel for my W129:D , and just wondered if anyone had replaced this and if it is relatively straightforward for me to do myself, ie air bags etc etc ?? Any help we be appreciated.
Thank you

Yes, I have done this and it is very easy. Disconnect the battery and wait 15 mins, when you unplug the Airbag lay it face down out of the sun, other than that its plain sailing

For the roof to open it needs to know where the windows and rollbar are.

To re sync the windows, with the key turned to 2, lower the windows down fully and hold the switch for 10 sec, do the same in the up position, the roof will now know where they are and function normally

Hello Malcolm, (in response to previous threads) ...
from looking at my new wheel its not clear how I get the original centre panel off the existing wheel, does it simply pull like a wrap around type shroud, or is it those two holes on rear of wheel/boss ?? please can you remember from your 129 days ??
mamny thanks
David:confused:
