Customer service rang and asked if I needed a service quote.
B service with filters air/diesel and "flexible coupling"? due to mileage/age (90k)
£370,
They quoted £300 with no filters previously.

It's a rubber block used on the propellor shaft instead of a metal universal joint.
They can crack with age and use, probably yours has.

Regards,
Nick.

They haven't seen the car yet, it's a standard service item I'm told. Seems quite cheap really? £300 for a service, £370 filters and prop shaft joints?

Sorry but rubbish! I have hardly ever changed one due to failure on modern mercs its a rip off for the money.
